A NOVEL IN A MONTH

For six years, my daughter has challenged herself to write a novel in November.  I think others developed the idea and she joined them.  The challenge was to write 50,000 words during the month or about 1,500 a day.
Somehow my daughter has managed to do this each year despite the month coinciding with the end of semester and final exams for the year.

This year, my wife decided that she wanted to have a go, to accept the challenge of writing regularly as she did once, many years ago, and see what happened.

I can't say I am a great writer, at least of fiction, but in recent years I have read a lot and I am wondering if I should have a go too.

So, come Tuesday, the challenge will be on.  Between now and then I set myself the work of creating a likely cast of characters to entertain you with and each day there should be a post of between 1500 and 2000 words.  I am looking forward to seeing how characters, as yet unborn, will develop over the month.
